Nicolas Dupont viool

Nicolas Dupont started his violin studies with Dejan Mijajev, at the age of 4.

He is currently studying at the Brussels conservatoire with Yuzuko Horigome, and at the CNSM of Paris in the class of Itamar Golan. As a member of the Kugoni Trio, Nicolas is exploring less known repertoire together with Kurt Bertels (saxophone) and Bert Koch (piano). The Kugoni Trio has already been invited to perform in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, and can often be heard in Belgium.

Nicolas has a great interest in contemporary music. Apart from many commissioned works for the Kugoni Trio, he played the world premier of the violin concerto by Jan Van Damme in January 2013. Nicolas has participated in masterclasses with Mihaela Martin, Philippe Graffin, Pierre Amoyal, Tatiana Samouil, and in chamber music with A. R. El Bacha, Paul Badura-Skoda, Walter Boeykens, Gavriel Lipkind, Maxim Vengerov, ... and quartets such as the Danel, Talich, Prazak, Enesco and theFine Arts.
